According to the latest Budget, there will be a 75% reduction of profits tax, salaries tax and tax under personal assessment for the year of 2011/12, subject to a ceiling of HK$12,000 per case.

The tax reduction will benefit taxpayers paying profits tax, like SMEs owners. Taxpayers should file their 2011/12 Profits Tax Returns, which will be issued in the coming April. Upon enactment of the relevant legislation, the IRD will effect the reduction in the final assessment.
